There’s an intrinsic beauty to all things handmade. The time invested to transform an idea into a physical object resonates almost universally.
This resonance takes on added weight when it’s presented in situations we don’t expect; situations we’re conditioned to associate with mass production. Such as a hotel guest room. But that doesn’t always have to be the case.
FBFA has been experimenting with hand cut paper art for use in guest rooms, working with several artists to understand their work and find ways to merge their process with the demands of volume production.
