For some hotel clients, a regional-specific art package conflicts with the brand positioning of the property. For a recent project in Iraq, Farmboy Fine Arts’ (FBFA) client wanted an art package that was modern, clean and international, and avoided sometimes overused motifs used in hospitality properties in the Middle East, such as Mashrabiya patterns and desert photography. Focusing on abstract, painterly pieces, FBFA curated a collection that balanced the brand intention as well as regional influences of the property.
