Allison Svoboda is an internationally recognized sculpture artist and painter.
Based in Chicago, Allison has a background in Environmental Design and Japanese and zen calligraphies. Her public art installations have been featured at the Nashville International Airport, Chicago’s Prudential and North Center Plazas, Abu Dhabi Ritz Carlton and Dubai Hilton. She has worked in collaboration with FBFA since 2018.
Finding the edge between intuitive and deliberate mark making, Allison’s work is a meditation on process, materiality, and our natural environment. Her sumi-e collage works are intricate paintings layered to create sculptural works. These paintings, based on fractal geometry, are also translated into large-scale works on metal, glass and industrial fabric.
