Picture 4Picture 2Spanish architects On-a, had quite a job ahead of them when they were asked to re-design the existing metro station at Port Vell in Barcelona. They were asked to work with the existing station parameters built in 1968 which meant they could not create additional space but rather finish the interior skin of the environment. The answer? Glass reinforced concrete which provides the same qualities as concrete with steel, but having a weight which is a fifth of steel, making the floors vibration resistant and pimping everyone’s ride to work and play.
