FIne Arts Feedbag

The son of Mr. Ernesto Domingo Coloma and Mrs. Purificacion Carlos, Norman Carlos Coloma was born on a cold winter night in Hamilton Ontario, on December 20, 1978 at 1:10am. The youngest of three brothers and one sister, Norm drew his first self-portrait at the age of five in brown crayon. He was forced to perform on an electronic organ at age eight for two years. Often snooping through his father's drafting materials, he was eventually taught how to use them appropriately by learning the art of calligraphy, letraset, electric erasing and the difference between 4H pencils and 4B pencils.

A graduate from the Illustration Program at Sheridan College, Norman has his work in collections in Italy, France, Australia, New York, Miami, Toronto and his local Vancouver.

His work is a visual representation of what music looks like; often using rhythmic compositions of color, shapes, and lines.
