FBFA recently did a snap-shot interview with photographer Beata Czyzowska to gain a glimpse into her creative process.

FBFA: Can you describe where the inspiration for your work comes from?

Beata Czyzowska: My biggest inspiration is nature, but not necessary the traditional landscape/waterscape approach, I enjoy more abstract qualities within nature, like macro photography.

I love experimenting with light, trying different things, sometimes breaking all the photography rules to achieve a dreamy, out of this world effect.

FBFA: How do you take your work from concept to completed piece?

BC: When I go out photographing I don’t usually have a concept as such. I sort of have an idea of what I want to do, but quite often something else catches my attention, like flowers or weeds catching the light or a very interesting puddle on the street.
