Along a quiet mountain road in The Azores is an abandoned hotel called Monte Palace. It was built just over 2 decades ago as a five star luxury hotel. Unfortunately no one visited it due to its extreme price and it was just abandoned very soon after. Twenty years later it is over grown and seemingly deserted.

Originally constructed in the 1970’s, this abandoned hotel never opened, reportedly due to building code violations. How it’s home to a gas station and gift shop. Located in Cantwell, Alaska along the George Parks Highway, this abandoned four-story igloo-shaped hotel has become a roadside attraction for the most part.
