Architect Alvar Aalto designed a home outside of Paris for art dealer and gallerist Luis Carré. Carré died in 1977, and the house was purchased by the Alvar Aalto Foundation. It has since received landmark status in France, and has been painstakingly preserved by the Foundation. For good reason – the home is furnished in Gesamtkunstwerk fashion, largely by Aalto originals. The images come from Israeli-French photographer Ben Sandler.
