Agata Kosmala is a contemporary abstract painter from Warsaw, Poland. Kosmala’s paintings explore the spaces between definitions – between him and her, between one and another, between this world and the next. Her gestural fluidity reflects this exploration, falling somewhere in the middle of geometric, known shapes and organic, limitless form.
Kosmala’s keen curiosity and expressive study of unwritten states drew us to her work a few years ago. We acquired an acrylic, oil, and silver-leaf triptych of hers for the Sheraton McKinney in North Dallas, Texas, where it holds the floor as the feature artwork in the lobby’s reading area. Kosmala’s work has been featured in exhibitions across North America and Europe and can be found in public and private collections globally.
