Atticus Adams is a sculpture artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Adams creates flowing, organic forms out of metal screening and wire, harkening back to his student days building model pieces for a summer architecture program. Drawing inspiration from fabric and fashion, Adams’ pieces are evocative of the delicacy of a hemline, the cut of a dress, or the way clothing crumples on the floor when removed.
Each of his pieces engages with its specific environment in a unique way, reacting variably through its elements of transparency, shadow, color, and texture. The subtleties of his pieces drew us to his practice a few years ago; since, we have developed a collaborative relationship with Adams. His works can be found in public and private collections internationally, and have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States.
