Rachael Ashe is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Vancouver, Canada. Ashe creates intricate cut paper designs and dimensional installations, influenced by the patterns inherent in the natural world: petals unfurling from a flower’s center, or ripples radiating on calm waters. Her complex patterns emerge spontaneously from her freehand movements, with process echoing the nature at the core of the product.

Ashe’s skillful interplay of abstracted patterns and precision of form drew us to her work many years ago. Since then, we have had the good fortune of working in partnership on several commissions, including for Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida, and most recently the Royal Palm South Beach in Miami. Her works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and can be found in private and public collections across North America.

NEXT is an ongoing series of profiles of emerging and established contemporary fine artists whose work Farmboy Fine Arts has acquired, commissioned, or proposed in previous projects.
