Despite their reputation for minimalism, the Japanese also have a flair for ‘Dekochari’, a Japanese phenomenon that originated from transforming ordinary bikes into expressive forms of art. Soon after, cars and trucks joined the movement with their over-the-top light displays, big bumpers, chrome-plating, custom paint jobs and decked out audio systems.
