Artwork doesn’t have to be the visual center of a space. In some cases, the artwork is required to take a more passive role to other aesthetic elements, becoming a complementary feature. This role, though, doesn’t mean the artwork should be boring. Rather it simply requires a more subdued persona; subdued, but not lacking. For a recent hotel renovation in the City of Glass, FBFA was asked to put together a subtle and elegant art package aimed at complementing the interiors design without imposing.
