THE RITZ-CARLTON WASHINGTON, D.C.

Drawing from the Capital's iconic monuments and sculptures.

In 2013, the Rockwell Group approached Farmboy Fine Arts (FBFA) to develop a custom art package for the Presidential and Club Presidential Suites of the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C.

Focused on custom works evocative of the brand’s sophistication, yet still contemporary, the Rockwell Group and FBFA identified early on in the discovery process that the iconic monuments and public art throughout the District of Columbia would serve as the core narrative element around which the suites’ art work would be built.

Through the creative and product discovery phase of the project, FBFA worked closely with manufacturing partners to ensure the antique mirror aesthetic sought by the client would be suitable for the rigors of a hospitality space, as well as meeting the project’s budget requirements.

The final results were a durable, custom printed antique mirror that was sophisticated but contemporary.
