One look at the iconic architecture of the Carbide & Carbon Building—home to the award-winning St. Jane Hotel—and it’s clear this hotel is unique in the Windy City.
But it’s not until you enter the hotel that it’s personality and elegance hit home. Opened in the summer of 2018 after extensive renovations, the St. Jane Hotel blends contemporary interior design with nods to the building’s Art Deco heritage. This reimagining of Chicago’s Jazz Age personality is further reflected in the property’s art collection, curated and delivered by Farmboy Fine Arts.
Developed in collaboration with Simeone Deary Design Group, the framed canvas pieces installed throughout the 332 guestrooms and 33 premium suites feature custom commissioned works from Alicia Savage, as well as works from Olaf Hajek and Paul W. Ruiz. These vibrant, energetic reproductions were custom framed in bold gold and silver moldings, seamlessly blending Art Deco and contemporary aesthetics throughout the award-winning property.
